Rectocele

A rectocele occurs when the supportive tissue between the rectum and vagina is damaged. On physical exam, a rectocele can be diagnosed as a buldge on the backside of the vagina. Symptoms of a rectocele can include pelvic pressure, pelvic pain or difficulty with bowel movements.
